ELIMINO! Gameplay Questions

Can more than 5 players play?

Yes - One set plays 2–5 players, but you can combine two sets for up to 10 players.

Can kids younger than 7 play ELIMINO?

Absolutely! They might need a little help, but we know preschoolers who can play!

How long does a game take?

It really depends on the number of players, but expect 15-45 minutes. Games with less people take less time. Rules are included for shorter play, if desired.

Is ELIMINO similar to Garbage/Trash?

Yes, but with specific improvements. ELIMINO speeds up the classic game with numbers 1–8 instead of 1–10, and replaces confusing face cards with simple special cards like X cards and wilds. Sabotage cards let you steal from opponents, while draw/dig cards add strategy by pulling from within the discard pile. The result is a faster, more strategic and dynamic version of the game.

How do you remove a sabotage card once you've been sabotaged?

To remove a sabotage card, replace it with the correct number or a wild card. This ends your turn.

Why not remove number cards as the game progresses? For example, once all players are down to 7 or fewer cards, remove all 8s.

We tested removing number cards—but it made it much harder for players behind to catch up, and the leader usually stayed in front. Keeping all cards in play gives everyone a chance to come back and makes the game more exciting.
